Company overview
MissionLayer Systems LLC is a founder-led small business based in Utahthat builds custom applications using artificial intelligence, document intelligence, and computer vision to automate document-heavy, image-heavy, and data-intensive operational work. We serve federal agencies, state and local government, school districts and higher education, public authorities and healthcare organizations, prime contractors, and commercial clients nationwide. We take work from technical requirement through production deployment, and we support it afterward.
Our founder's background spans software engineering, machine learning, application development, cloud infrastructure, deployment, and technical operations, combined with direct experience in government contracting analysis. For projects requiring additional specialists, we assemble teams from a trusted professional network based on project requirements. Network members are independent professionals and partner firms rather than standing employees, and team composition is disclosed as part of any proposal.
MissionLayer Systems works directly with clients or as part of a larger delivery team. Capabilities can be delivered end to end or tailored to a defined technical work package with written scope and acceptance criteria.

Differentiators
- AI and software engineering together. We do not deliver an isolated model that still needs another contractor to become usable software. AI is built into complete applications, APIs, workflows, and existing systems — the part that receives the prediction, records it, routes the item, and lets a person override it.
- From prototype to production. The work spans model development, APIs, containers, Kubernetes, deployment, observability, and production operations. A demonstration that cannot be deployed, monitored, or handed over is not finished, and stopping there is the most common way an AI effort stalls.
- Human review where it matters. Document and AI workflows use confidence thresholds, exception queues, source references, and human approval. Model output is treated as a recommendation with evidence attached, not as automatically authoritative.
- Founder-led technical delivery. The person who defines the technical approach stays involved in executing it. There is no handoff from a senior salesperson to an unnamed junior team.
- Government-aware delivery. Requirements, acceptance criteria, documentation, security practices, architecture diagrams, runbooks, and handoff are treated as part of the deliverable rather than as paperwork produced afterwards.
- Flexible delivery through a professional network. For work that needs additional specialists, we assemble a team from a trusted professional network based on what the project requires. Team composition is disclosed openly and scoped to the engagement.
