Scope

This policy covers this website and inquiries submitted through it. It does not cover information handled under a signed contract or teaming agreement — those arrangements are governed by their own terms, which take precedence.

What we collect

Information you submit

When you use the contact form we collect the information you enter: your name, organization, email address, and, if you choose to provide them, your phone number, the agency or company involved, your desired timeline, a procurement or solicitation reference, the inquiry categories you select, and your project summary.

Please do not submit classified information, controlled unclassified information, personally identifiable information about third parties, or any material subject to handling restrictions through this form. It is an ordinary email path and is not an approved channel for restricted material. If you need to share sensitive material, contact us first and we will agree on an appropriate method.

Where your inquiry is kept

Your submission is emailed to us and is not saved to any database. Once we have replied and no longer need it, the email is deleted in line with the retention periods below.

Technical information

When the contact form is submitted, our server uses the network address associated with the request to apply rate limiting — a basic protection against automated form abuse. It is held in server memory for a short window and is not stored in a database or used to build a profile.

Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as request times and IP addresses) as part of operating the service. Those logs are subject to the provider's own retention practices.

Cookies and analytics

This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. There is no cross-site tracking, no advertising network, and no third-party script of any kind on these pages. There is nothing to consent to, which is why you were not shown a cookie banner.

Fonts are served from this website rather than a third-party font host, so visiting these pages does not disclose your address to another company.

How we use your information

• To read, evaluate, and respond to your inquiry.
• To follow up on a capability discussion, RFI, RFQ, teaming, or subcontracting conversation you started.
• To prepare a proposal or scope, if you ask us for one.
• To protect the contact form against automated abuse.

We do not sell your information. We do not add contacts to a marketing list from form submissions. We do not use submissions to train machine learning models.

Who can see it

Inquiries are delivered by email to MissionLayer Systems LLC and are read by the founder. Service providers necessarily handle the message in transit: our website host and our email provider. They process it only to deliver and store the message.

If your inquiry concerns a teaming or subcontracting opportunity and we need to involve a member of our professional network to respond, we will tell you before sharing the details of your inquiry with them.

We may disclose information where we are legally required to do so.

How long we keep it

• Inquiries we do not pursue: deleted within about 12 months.
• Inquiries that lead to a proposal or engagement: kept as business records for as long as needed for the relationship and any applicable record-keeping obligation.
• Rate-limiting data: held in server memory for minutes, then discarded.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for a correction, or ask us to delete your inquiry. Email contact@missionlayersystems.com and we will respond within 30 days. There is no requirement to submit a form to browse this website — every page is readable without providing any information.

Security

This site is served over HTTPS, applies a content security policy and other security headers, and validates and sanitizes form input on the server. Inquiry email is protected by the access controls of our email provider. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise.

A note on legal compliance

This policy describes our actual practices in plain language. It has not been reviewed by an attorney, and we make no claim that it satisfies the requirements of any specific privacy statute or regulatory framework. If you need a contractual privacy commitment for a particular jurisdiction or contract clause, contact us and we will address it directly in the agreement.

Changes

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with a new date. Material changes to how we handle inquiries will be described on this page rather than made quietly.
